The Ol’ Ring of Death - (part 1)

Well much to my dismay, my much beloved 360 kicked the proverbial bucket last night when I went to play some more of the Crackdown demo. I should have seen it coming, as it had been acting up on me somewhat the past few weeks… crashing every so often when trying to kill some Nazis in CoD 3, but I just assumed it was a buggy CoD… not my 360. So I guess I’m not as special as I thought I was, and can now formally submit my application to the broken 360 club that so many people are member of.

this isn't my 360 ring of death, but you get the idea

So I called up the Microsoft support people and gave them the same “I got the three red flashing lights…” speech I’m sure they’ve heard time and time again. In turn I should be receiving my prepaid service box from MS in about 4 or 5 business days. I also got the following form letter:

Dear Xbox Customer:

Thank you for contacting Xbox Customer Care. We have received your request for service. Please prepare your console and follow the instructions provided by our customer service department. You will receive an e-mail as soon as the next step in the process has begun.

Thank you,
Xbox Customer Care

Note: This is not a monitored e-mail address.

So now I just sit and wait. The whole process is supposed to take approximately 15 business days total… we’ll see. I’ll keep you posted.

    Dan,

I guess it is time to bust out the old Atari 2600 or Super Nintendo.

Maybe you can finish my season in Bulls-Blazers or relive your glory days as Star Man in Pro Wrestling.

I expect a FULL download on the Blizzard of 07. Take some picks from Creekside. You are becoming the resident severe weather expert.

    See you on board, Senator.

Hopefully Tim will get off his ass and post a few photos he took of the snow on his blog… if he even remembers that he has a blog.
