For the second time in its short life span, my 360 has red ringed. It started acting funny a few weeks ago, red ringing for short periods of time at random intervals, but as of this past Friday it red ringed to the point of no return, unable to even boot the OS. So this afternoon I signed into xbox.com and set off to submit another repair request to Microsoft. Unfortunately, I was unable to make a request because the site stated that my warranty was past due, even though Microsoft went out of its way to extend its 360 repairs for another 3 years for red ring sufferers. So using my only option left, I called the 1-800 number and got an agent on the horn, explained my position and got them to submit a request. Now I just have to wait the 3-5 business days to get my return box and then another 2 weeks or so for the repair. I guess Rock Band will have to wait…
Note to MS: adding an option for users to state that they are submitting a red ring repair request would save users a lot of grief.
